Snapshot of our last couple days ....

We ventured out for science experiment supplies off a post it Eva created ...

{See Tonic water & Corn Flour post}

We kept with starting our days with the days of the week song...

Months of the year...

and an Alphabet phonics song....

Eva is like REALLY enjoying writing what every words begins with ....

Necessary or not per direction ...

It's awesome watching what these last few weeks have done for her...

Both kiddos love this one ...

mixing up the numbers would be an added challenge and change things up but for now they have fun with this and are challenged enough ...

it's a good build them up activity ...

Our math blocks are probably one of our most used items...

we love using them in so many different ways!

I used an old ice cream container and filled it with colored fuzz balls ...

I laid out corresponding pieces of paper and had him match the colors....

We started with just 2 sticks to get them out and place them but once I saw him start to get frustrated and at that point I brought out the tongs to keep him going and back in the zone...

We Painted our feet with wet chalk...

{it doesn't easily come out.... }

They had a great time ...

and I loved watching them ....

We worked on numbers ....

and Eva mailed her SECOND pen pal letter....

She's having so much fun ...

She draws a picture...

We send a photo to be printed...

She pays for it with piggy bank money ...

She writes a letter...

they take a while but we sound out every letter of every word....

She stays with it and I love her little heart...

She makes a loom bracelet...

includes stickers...

I KNOW that she loves doing things for others happiness and that is everything to me ...

{tonight she told me as she was outside with her bunnies she thought to herself "I have a wonderful life"..... }

We received and began our "The code" books....

She did like 7 assignments ...

They are "easier" for her right now but I think it's a great lead up before she is challenged more as the series continues...

I've read some great things and I'm excited to see how it works for her...

I love just doing simple little things on our board for them to do at their leisure ...

Tomorrow we have a new words of the week to add to our WORD A PILLAR

{see previous post}

SO far they think it's a fun idea and are very familiar with the word me now :)

Wednesdays and Thursdays are generally slower as they go to grandmas and grandpas house but we will start earlier tomorrow am ...

and they will come home to something fun Thursday to lure them in to the classroom for a little night time school sesh ...

This flexibilty is everything to us and has really worked for our family <3
