B is for Neighborhood Bird Watch

To round out letter B today we took it to the neighborhood...

In the golfcart and sought it some winged...

feathery friends....

We had the kids predict how many birds we'd find before we got started...

they each took turns drawing the lines ....

and we counted them together once we got home ...

set a timer for these kind of activities if you're trying to stick to a schedule...

Always include the kiddos in these conversations so they know what to expect!

(ok guys we are going to set the timer and go on a bird watch .... we are going to see how many we see in 10 minutes and hurry home so we can count just how many we found!)

At the end I asked each kiddo if they predicted more or less birds than we saw ...

and what their favorite part of the adventure was....
